April 20th, 2010, the BP oil spill occurred, killing these wonderful birds and their nesting areas! I have been an advocate for these wonderful birds ever since! And have been looking for a rendition of their likeness ever since! My son who was in Australia sent me pics of these magnificent birds from there, and I became enthralled with this gorgeous bird, I needed a replica of this species to sit amongst my other birds in my collection! I found her in this shop! She is everything! The attention to detail is stunning! Everyone who enjoys wildlife especially birds, needs this replica, because it's gorgeous and exemplifies the true beauty of this bird! This is a beautiful piece I bought for myself. When I lived by the beach, I would often watch pelicans. This reminds me of happy times. I appreciate how well-crafted and detailed it is, and the fact that it was packaged securely
